The last couple of years power failures have increased drastically. During the power failure a lot of people went out to buy generators only to find that you will need a massive generator and a lot of fuel to run your household normally. Careful planning and consideration can make backing up your house a lot cheaper. First of all your main energy consumer in the house is the geyser. Heating water takes a lot of energy.
